Tales of a Messy Printmaker

While I have very little formal training in traditional printmaking, I have done a lot of experimenting with intaglio and relief methods. I often combine printmaking with other media, such as painting and collage.

I enjoy the uncertain energy of imperfect prints, and frequently print on recycled materials such as flyers or discarded books. Often pieces of prints are collaged together to form new works.

I have experimented extensively with Image-on, and in 2016 I took a screen printing workshop at the Arrowmont School of Arts and Crafts in Gatlinburg, TN.

While I appreciate the discipline of the printmaker who can pull 100 prints that are all exactly alike, that's just not me, and I'm OK with that.
