Can’t Take My Eyes Off of You is an analog collage by North Carolina artist Natalie Schorr. It uses linocuts, ephemera, colored pencil and acrylic paint and depicts a woman covered in eyes cut from a 1960s magazine.

So, I don’t make it a habit of doing pieces specifically about someone. Pieces depicting someone, yes, but not really about them so much. So it’s kind of a surprise to even me that I did this piece about my friend, Tim. His assessment was to be speechless, which is probably the most valiant thing he could have done.

I also don’t tend to hold on to art that doesn’t depict my children but I think I’m going to hold on to this one for a bit. Figuratively and literally.
